James is represented by Hatchit Management
James started out playing guitar in bands. Whilst recording with these bands, he developed his love of production, mixing and song writing, landing a residency at the legendary Olympic Studios, where he honed his craft.
During this time, James found and developed bands and artists that landed deals with major labels, including Raye, Sons & Lovers, and NGod. With this, he grew a reputation for being able to work with artists and find their authentic voice.
As a songwriter, James is an all-rounder: as well as composing on guitar and keys, he excels in concept, melody and lyric. As a producer, he finishes records with an authenticity and excitement that demand repeat listens.
Working as comfortably with bands as with solo artists, in the last few years James has had songs and productions released by Lewis Capaldi (his break out single ‘Bruises’), Gryffin (‘Whole Heart’), Vance Joy, Maisie Peters (‘Take Care Of Yourself’), Azure Ryder (‘Wolves’) Winnie Raeder (the EP ‘From Here’), Honne (‘Talk To Me’) and Jeremy Loops.
He works out of his studio in Maida Vale, which has a live room large enough to record drums and vocals, and an awesome collection of guitars and synths.
